Be sure to make clearly that you are applying to the AMCS graduate
group.
To see that we receive your standardized test scores: for the GRE, use the institution code is

and the Department code is 72.
If for some reason you cannot apply via the web-based form please
contact the department's Graduate

Notes:
(1) Admissions decisions are made by the AMCS Graduate
Admissions Committee, and not by individual professors. Therefore,
requests for admission should not
be sent to individual members of the
faculty, and instead should be submitted as indicated above.
(2) Applicants cannot be considered for possible admission (and no
admission decision can be made) until an
official application form is submitted by the applicant and is received
by
the AMCS Graduate Admissions Committee.
(3) The official deadline for submission of applications is December
15,
in the case of applications that request financial support.
Since this is a new program, we will continue to accept applications
until January 1, 2008. If some of the material related to the
application (letters of
recommendation, official transcripts, or score on the GRE, TOEFL, or
TSE)
is received a few weeks later, the application can still be considered.
Since the Admissions Committee meets in late January, material must
arrive by then in order to be considered during usual the admission
process.
(4) If application materials are submitted after January 1 (whether
or not
financial support is being requested), a follow-up email message should
be
sent to the AMCS Graduate Group
Chair,
indicating what has been submitted.
(5) Applicants may wish to visit the Penn in person, to
get a better sense of the graduate program and its faculty. Such
visits can be helpful to applicants in deciding where to apply and what
offers to accept (but are not part of the Admissions Committee's
decision
process).
